MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

John Rush, Snyder Junior High Principal

John Rush, Snyder Junior High School Principal

Welcome to the Snyder Junior High Website. My name is John Rush and I am the Principal of SJH. I began my career in education shortly after graduating from Angelo State University in 1993. During that time I coached and taught math for the first 21 at Killeen Ellison, Highland Park, Richardson Westwood, Wylie, Dallas Molina, Paris, Union Hill, Fruitvale, Daingerfield, and Big Sandy Harmony. After graduating in 2010 from the University of Texas at Tyler I began my administrative career as an assistant principal in Marshall, Texas and in 2016 moved to Snyder as the SJH Associate Principal. In 2018 I served SISD as the RtI Behavior Coordinator before transferring my current position of SJH Principal.

This year our theme is "BUILDING BRIDGES''. A BRIDGE is defined as a structure that spans a divide.

The vision of Snyder Junior High is to build academic success and responsible character for all stakeholders while bridging the gap from Intermediate to High School.

Therefore, we wanted this year’s focus to be "BUILDING BRIDGES." Our goal is simple - To bring unity and positivity into our community as we join together to help grow our students to be well rounded leaders of tomorrow.

I am honored to serve the students, staff, and families of Snyder Junior as we build strong futures for our students.

GO TIGERS!!

K.J. Rush
