Snyder ISD announced that Wes Wood, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach, has submitted his resignation to pursue an opportunity with another school district. Bob Rauch, Snyder ISD Superintendent, said, “Our athletic programs experienced growth and success under Coach Wood’s tenure.” Rauch continued, “Coach Wood prioritized character development and perseverance as cornerstones of his programs. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”. Coach Wood has been leading Snyder ISD's athletic programs since 2019.
“I will be forever grateful for my time with Tiger Nation. In the summer of 2019, Dr. Bland and his committee gave me my first opportunity to chase my dreams as an Athletic Director and Head Football Coach,” said Coach Wood. “My family made some lifelong friends and were blessed with countless young student-athletes who made just as much of an impact on us as we hope to have made on them. It has been a wild ride, and my family and I are sincerely thankful to everyone who supported us along this journey.”
