STAAR Scores

Dear Parents and Families,

Students who just completed grades 3–8, as well as high school students in Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History, took a STAAR test this spring. The STAAR test is one of several tools we use to measure how students are learning. Teachers will use these results—along with other classroom information—to guide instruction and support each student in the upcoming school year.

Beginning today, you can view your child’s STAAR results by visiting www.snyderisd.net/skyward and logging in to the Family Portal.

Access Instructions

  1. Log in to Skyward.

  2. Select your child’s name from the drop-down menu.

  3. Click “District Links” and then “Test Assessment.”

Tips for Parents: Understanding the Results and Providing Support at Home

Once in the STAAR portal, you’ll see a breakdown of how your child performed on each question, highlighting both strengths and areas where additional support may be needed. Click "View Detailed Report" to access helpful tips, tools, and learning activities you can use at home this summer.

How We Will Support Your Child in the Upcoming School Year

Our teachers and staff are already reviewing these results and preparing to meet students’ individual needs this fall. Whether your child is ready for acceleration or would benefit from extra support, we are developing plans to ensure they receive the instruction and attention they need to grow and succeed.

If your child will be retained or requires credit recovery, campus leadership will contact you directly.

For more information about the STAAR test, visit the Texas Assessment website at www.TexasAssessment.gov.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child’s education.
